On 1 January we introduced an annual centre approval fee for centres delivering Trident Awards qualifications, to bring them in line with those centres delivering all of our other LASER provision. All centres were advised of this several times during November and December, and invoices were sent out on 5 January, due for payment now please.
This fee is £395 per year, usually invoiced on 1 August to cover the year from 1 August to 31 July, however the current year is pro rata, ie £230 for 1 January 2018 to 31 July 2018. The next (full) invoice will then be issued on 1 August 2018, and annually thereafter. If your centre offers other qualifications under our LASER brand and already pays this annual fee, you will of course not be asked to pay twice.
The annual centre fee contributes towards our costs of managing a centre throughout the year – which includes, but is not limited to, carrying out planned visits, unannounced visits, and mystery shops, plus all the unlimited support you have access to throughout the year in between visits, both by phone and email, from your quality reviewer and the customer support team. Unlike some other awarding organisations, we do not charge for visits during the year, except in exceptional circumstances.
